As a small business owner, what should you look for when posting on public social media? What comments could come back (maybe years later) giving you a headache, legal trouble, and money? Dave and Shannon discuss some examples of what NOT to post on social media and that leads to a discussion about mistakes as opportunities.
When a supplier makes a mistake, Shannon explains, there is an opportunity to turn that mistake into a closer relationship (if desired), a better price, and more opportunities for future business. If you are the customer, there are several ways to make the most of an error with your supplier or service provider.
On the flip side, if you or your company makes a mistake with a customer, you have a great chance of winning their trust by doing things right. Customers who learn how good you or your employees are at fixing bugs and solving problems tend to become very loyal and are very happy to share how good you are.
