The remains found in the Orlando apartment are thought to be Miya Marcano

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has issued a statement stressing the plight of Orlando Miya Marcano’s youth.

They say the body found on Tymber Skan at Lake Condominiums is believed to be Marcano. The remains were found by search teams around 10:45 am on Saturday in a wooded area near the dry.

“Our hearts are broken,” Orange County President John Mina said. “We’ve got what we believe is Miya’s remainder.”

Sheriff Mina said phone records showed the person interested in her case, Armando Caballero, was in the house or near the apartments on Friday night, the night Miya went missing. They say there is no evidence that he returned there before committing suicide.

Sheriff Mina said Caballero had lived in the apartments at the same time.

Miya Marcano, 19, is said to have disappeared after not boarding a scheduled flight from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale Friday, September 24, 2021.

A bag containing Miya’s identity card was also found near the body, Sheriff Mina said.

The appropriate certificate must be made by the Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death is still unknown.

Marcano’s parents were notified.

“We are not looking for other people. We strongly believe that Armando Caballero is responsible for this crime.”

Authorities had searched the New Smyrna Beach area on Friday because they said Caballero was there last Saturday for about an hour.

The FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcing had joined forces to search for the three states of Marcano, 19, who disappeared more than a week ago.

Marcano disappeared the same day a security guard used a master key to enter his home, authorities said.

Sheriff Mina said Caballero, a security guard at the apartment where Marcano lived and worked, was said to be the only person interested in him. Caballero, 27, apparently committed suicide; His body was found three days after Marcano was last seen.

“At the moment we do not believe that anyone is involved,” Mina said in China.

The sheriff has stated that Marcano was “denying” the progress of the affair with Caballero. Detectives spoke to Caballero after Marcano was reported missing, but they had no evidence to arrest him at the time. They obtained a warrant for his arrest after discovering that he had entered his home before disappearing. His body was later found inside the garage.

Marcano, a student at Valencia College, was last seen 5 times before last Friday; His family reported him missing after he missed a flight to South Florida that evening.

“As a community, as a sheriff, as a father, we mourn the loss of Miya. We cannot imagine the pain and grief experienced by Miya’s parents, family, loved ones, friends, and the entire community in the past,” said Sheriff Mina.
