A California mother has been involved in secret sex parties where she gave young people alcohol and condoms – and even watched them have sex, prosecutors said.
Shannon O’Connor stared and laughed in the bedroom as a young drunk boy climbed up and grabbed a girl who was a friend of that woman — a 15-year-old son, according to the courts.
The 44-year-old mother kept secret parties from other parents and even her husband while the 14-year-olds were so intoxicated that they “would vomit, couldn’t stand up, and faint,” prosecutors said.
“It took a lot of courageous children to come forward and release this disturbing issue,” said DA spokesman Jeff Rosen.
“As a parent, I was shocked. As the DA, I am determined to catch adults who put children at full risk for being accountable to the law and our community. ”
O’Connor, also known as Shannon Bruga, is registered in Idaho where he now lives. Prosecutors plan to extradite him to Golden State to face 30 charges.
During the eight months from 2020 until the beginning of this year, O’Connor allegedly held several parties with his son and friends and forced attendees to keep the adultery secret.
“He said if anyone was told he could go to jail,” he said. A 14-year-old girl spoke of the parties being threatened with retaliation that would include people spreading rumors about her, according to her allegations.
At one party, he handed the boy a condom and pushed him into a room where a 14-year-old drunk girl lay on a bed.
“[The girl] frightened, he ran and locked himself in the toilet, ”states the proverb.
At one party, O’Connor escorted the boy into a room with a drunken girl and walked away. The girl was allegedly beaten, according to prosecutors. The girl later met Occonnor and left him alone drunk, prosecutors added.
“Why did you like it, do that?” the girl is said to have. “I wish you knew what he was going to do to me.”
In October 2020, O’Connor rented a cottage in Santa Clara for children – who raised $ 900,000 for house damage and were pictured on the viewing buildings beating and stumbling around the house.
During a youth rally, a girl broke a pink finger and one boy winced while other teenagers were driving Oconnor’s car in a school parking lot, prosecutors said.
At the time of the incident, two children hung from the back of an SUV when the unlicensed driver slipped into a parking lot on December 19. One of the boys grabbed the SUV fell, hit his head, and got a little dark, prosecutors say.
The woman faces charges including child abuse and sexual assault.
O’Connor also faces charges of more than $ 100,000 for fraudulent transactions on credit card companies, the DA said. O’Connor was assistant manager at Aruba Networks, authorities said.
