Brian Friss is visiting us today at the Small Business Show. Brian co-founded DIGISTOR in 2001 and one of the first things he did was ditch his business plan. Instead, he followed and led his company through a development that reflected his market, and even changed his core products as needed over time. Yet much of the business relies on optical storage, a product that has been “seven years out of date”. It’s proof that serving a niche can be very profitable, but you need to be careful about where to go next. Biggest Lesson: Avoid Fear-Based Decisions. Easier said than done!
