Idaho Sheriff releases new information on suspected Los Gatos party mother

A 57-year-old woman accused of throwing drunken sex parties of teenagers in Los Gatos, Calif., Is being held in a prison in Boise, Idaho, the Adha County Sheriff’s Office reported in a news report.

Detectives with the office of troubled sheriff Shannon Bruga, also known as Shannon O’Connor, may have been involved in parties where O’Connor allegedly encouraged young people to have sex in Idaho and California.

When detectives arrived Saturday morning at his home on Wyatt Earp Drive in the town of Boise in Star, “there were ten underage boys and two girls at his home – most of them sleeping there,” the chief’s office said in a press release. Investigators called the teenage parents before releasing them.

In California, Bruga is facing 37 charges, including child abuse, sexual abuse, and alcohol abuse among minors, the Santa Clara Regional Attorney’s Office said. He faces imprisonment if convicted.

Bruga allegedly “bought vodka and Fireball whiskey, gave condoms, and discouraged young people from telling their parents about parties or calling for help if one of them went through their vomit,” a true statement was made.

He allegedly lured teenagers to his home in the middle of the night over SnapChat and text messages, and warned them not to drop out of parties or he could go to jail, released by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.

Parties held from 2020 to the beginning of this year were mostly attended by 15-year-olds, the office said.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office said it began investigating Bruga this summer after a local family informed the office that Burga had moved to the Treasure Valley, an area that includes Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Star, Kuna, Caldwell, and Middleton.

The family told the sheriff that they joined Bruga on the Internet and met her in Boise last season when Bruga began her search for a new home in Idaho, a news release reported.

When the family learned about the parties and the investigation into the rape in California, they tried to sever ties with her and told the police that she had started harassing them.
