Dr. Anthony Fauci has been on fire on Sunday with advice that Americans are likely to spend Christmas alone in 2021.
At CBS “Face The Nation,” Fauci spoke with anchor Margaret Brennan about the nature of the coronavirus epidemic and the expectations for the coming months. In particular, Brennan wondered if families could get together for Christmas.
“Can we get together for Christmas, or just talk?” Brennan asked.
Fauci replied that it was “too fast to speak” if people could gather in groups for Christmas this year.
FAUCI OPPRESSED IF HE ‘SHOULD’ GO DOWN ‘AS IMPORTANT SO PEOPLE CAN’: ‘PEOPLE DON’T HEAR’
“It’s quick to say,” Fauci said. “We need to focus on continuing to take these numbers down and not try to jump ahead with weeks or months and say what we will do at another time.”
Critics have accused Fauci of suggesting that families should celebrate Christmas in different ways.
“Dr. Fauci said today it is too early to know whether people will be able to gather at Christmas. Crazy. Who in the world is still listening to this old man?” OutKick founder Clay Travis wrote.
Editor-in-chief of The Spectator Stephen Miller sent the letter “Did Fauci completely weigh in on the unpaid interior design shows? If not?”
“It’s bad enough for Fauci to say these nonsense, but it’s even worse that journals keep asking questions like they have something to say about whether we get together for Christmas,” wrote Washington Free Beacon journalist Chuck Ross.
Some Republican lawmakers have criticized Fauci as New York MP Claudia Tenney who said Americans are going to celebrate Christmas, regardless of what Fauci or President Biden say.
Dr. Fauci, who serves as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has made several assumptions that things may return to normal. In December 2020, he once faced frustration with the demonstration that Christmas could not do “business as usual” but predicted that the holidays should be commonplace in 2021.
“There’s a great chance that with antibiotics being distributed, that we’re going back to normal by next Christmas,” Fauci said last year.

Fauci also used his stance on “Face The Nation” to emphasize the importance of getting people to be slaughtered and receive extra packs if necessary.
“Let’s look like a laser in continuing to get those cases down. We can do it with people who are being vaccinated. Also, in situations where boosters are appropriate, for people to increase because we know they can be very helpful in reducing infection and decline. “he said.
