, the former President urged Abbott to add a bill to the ongoing Texas congressional hearing that would pave the way for scrutiny of the outcome of the election by party players.
He also expressed displeasure with the planned “survey” in four major Texas states. The poll was announced last week by the Secretary-General’s Office, just hours after Trump began a public petition to scrutinize Texas’s results.
But a national survey of regional elections is expected to take place next year, based on a summary of the work.
On Friday, Mr. Trump called for a “robust and authentic Forensic Audit for the 2020 Presidential Election Scam – not a reduction in the risk of catastrophic collisions by a Secretary of State.”
Abbott has not yet responded openly to Trump’s current request, and officials in Abbott’s office have not immediately responded to CNN’s inquiries.
Trump’s departure is the latest example of his unconditional ambition at the end of 2020, and it comes as a way to investigate electoral progress in Wisconsin. Wisconsin Assembly spokesman Robin Vos recently signed a summons from local election officials – as Republicans in parliament moving forward with Trump’s scrutiny – cutting the outcome in a constituency in which he lost more than 20,000 votes to President Joe Biden.
There is no evidence that widespread fraud has affected the outcome of the 2020 elections in Texas, Wisconsin or anywhere else.
In Texas, the country Trump has won by more than five percent, the former President is backing bills that will allow party officials to request a “review” of the outcome of the 2020 elections in their constituencies. It would also allow voters and party leaders to request scrutiny of the next election.
As governor, Abbott has the power to set agendas for key issues. He began convening an existing meeting to focus on other issues, including stabilization, the Covid epidemic and barriers to the participation of transgender players in school sports.
But he added another rule to the first plan. This week, for example, he asked judges to reinstate stricter sanctions for illegal voting. Texas election law sweeping the Supreme Court of Texas passed a few weeks ago lifted the maximum penalty for wrongdoing.
In his remarks, Mr. Trump thanked GOP State Sen. Paul Bettencourt for proposing a bill to scrutinize his preferred choice in the Senate and Lt. Gov.Dan Patrick, Republican presiding over the Senate, by submitting a bill to a special Senate committee.
“Everyone feels that Governor Abbott will follow,” Trump said. “This will be very helpful in the upcoming 2022 and 2024 elections in Texas.”
