CNN’s Don Lemon complains about Style, Manchin ‘acting like Republican’

CNN president Don Lemon on Wednesday appeared to contradict earlier claims that the political party was irrelevant in deciding who to vote for as he insulted Sen. Kyrsten Style, D-Ariz., And Sen. Joe Manchin, DW.Va., “acting like a Republican.”

Lemon contradicted his CNN colleague Chris Cuomo during the offoff between those shows as he said Sinema and Manchin were “creating problems” for Democrats and they were Republicans working within the Democratic party, something Cuomo denied.

“Look at what’s happening in Washington. You’ve got Democrats doing their thing. We’re on our way to do it in this area right now,” Cuomo said at the start of a debate on Cinema and Manchin, referring to divisions between the progressive and moderate Democrats over President Joe Biden’s $ 3.5-trillion spending .

“But you have two Republicans in the Democratic Party who are making trouble for you Democrats, and it’s Manchin and Sinema,” said Lemon, Cuomo replied, saying that was Rimon’s opinion.

“I mean Republicans. Come on!” It is such a lemon.

“No, that’s your opinion. They’re both Democrats,” Cuomo said.

“It’s not an idea, look at the votes they make,” said Lemon.

While Manchin and Sinema have been thorns on the side of people free from film removal and other developments, they voted with Biden 100 percent of the time in the US Senate, according to the Five ThirinEight tracker.

“They’re both Democrats. There’s a ‘D’ behind their name. That’s for sure,” Cuomo said.

The two continued to argue, Lemon saying he still sees them as Republicans because, in his view, they “acted like Republicans.”

Lemon’s insistence on misrepresenting Cinema and Manchin as Republicans ran contrary to his earlier claim that he was independent regardless of party affiliation when deciding who to vote for.

“I do not believe in voting because I am a Republican or a Democrat. I vote on what they did, what they will do, their writings, and what they stand for,” Lemon told Cuomo during Monday’s handoff between their demonstrations.

Lemon also opposed the debate and quickly praised the Democrats as the only “truthful” party after expressing his displeasure with one party over another.

Sinema and Manchin have been the subject of intense media coverage, both of which have been widely criticized for their criticism of parts of the main political constitution pushed by the Biden administration. The pair have expressed concern over the price of the bill, as well as the increase in taxes associated with it and the increase in national debt.
