Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters in Folsom celebrates a milestone with its customers on National Coffee Day. The Folsom site is celebrating its first anniversary during the pandemic. The shop opened last September when indoor dining was not allowed and people had to take their coffee to go. They attribute their success to the tremendous support of the community. The Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters staff said they offer something that you can’t find on these larger coffee chains. “We have so many people coming in every day,” said Tessa Outland of Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters. “We know their names, we know the names of their children and their stories and what they do. Giving someone a cup of coffee in the morning and talking about their day and what’s going on in your life seems like a small part of it. But it’s the little things that make the big things in life. We can just be here and do our little part and hopefully make someone’s day a little better. ” On Wednesday, Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters started their week-long latte art contest at home. Here you can create a design in latte or cappuccino foam. Submit your best pictures via Instagram and there are a number of prizes to be won. At the Folsom site, the first 100 customers will receive prizes and take part in a chance to win free coffee for a year.
