Passengers recorded a video showing firefighters pinning a man on the tarmac shortly after the flight landed on the runway.
Eyewitness News spoke to a man who was on the run. He says the suspect was sitting about five or six rows behind him and heard a woman say, “Don’t do this, don’t do this.”
It is not clear what she meant, but the passenger says that panic immediately began on the plane.
When the plane landed safely, the passengers hurried to get off and pushed each other down the slides. Some were smeared with blood.
“We landed really hard and then out of nowhere people screamed in the back of the plane,” said the passenger. “Some guy could have had a bomb on him. It was a suspected bomb and then everyone just pushed and pushed, jumped off the plane. They started a slide. People fell off the slide on the left and right. They were bleeding . It was crazy. “
According to the FAA, the suspected passenger is currently being questioned by police.
There were no reported injuries to passengers or crew members.
