A passenger was arrested in South Florida Wednesday night after allegedly opening the emergency exit of an airplane and walking on the wing.
Officials said the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on an American Airlines flight that had just arrived in Miami from Colombia.
The passenger disembarked when it reached the terminal at Miami International Airport.

“During the flight from Miami, a customer on American Airlines flight 920 with service from Cali, Colombia (CLO) to MIA, exited the aircraft via an emergency exit. The customer was immediately arrested by law enforcement agencies. We thank our team members and law enforcement officials for their professionalism and speed of action, “American Airlines spokeswoman Whitney Zastrow told Fox News.
The passenger was identified as Christian Segura, 33, an American citizen, Miami’s WPLG-TV reported.

After the arrival of the officials, according to the authorities, he jumped from the wing.
Police said he was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials, the station reported.

The authorities found that the incident did not cause any delays and that the other passengers were able to disembark without any problems.
